Susan’s Story
Susan Haber did not plan a career in Hollywood. She needed one.
Thirty years ago Susan was a single mother with a nine year old daughter, a marriage that was ending, and a decision to make. She had spent five years acting in Los Angeles and loving every minute of it. When the marriage ended she knew that going forward she needed to make enough money to support herself and her daughter entirely on her own.
Her friends said she should become an agent. She understood auditions. She understood rejection. She interviewed at every major agency and heard no after no. Then she walked into International Creative Management, one of the two most powerful talent agencies in the world, connected with the head of HR over a shared background, and that was it. The door opened and she walked through it.
What nobody told her was how nearly impossible it would be to break into one of the most powerful and predominantly male industries in the world. But Susan had something most people do not. She was fearless. She had nothing to lose and everything to gain. Failure was not an option. She had a daughter to support and no alternative but to make it work. And through persistence, perseverance, and sheer determination, she made it happen. Her relationships run deep and wide across the entire industry.
Susan spent three decades watching women in a male dominated industry second guess themselves, hold back, and settle for less than they deserved. She understood it. There were moments she felt it too. But she pushed through anyway. And she never forgot the women whose potential the world never got to see.

About Susan
For 30 years Susan Haber has been one of Hollywood's most trusted behind-the-scenes forces. She began her career at International Creative Management, one of the two most elite talent agencies in the world, assisting in the representation of marquee talent including Katie Couric, Larry King, Jay Leno, Connie Chung, and Suze Orman. She then became a talent agent, a television packager, PR strategist, brand developer, and media and image consultant - building an unmatched track record across television, digital, streaming, and social media platforms.
She packaged and sold Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and built Ty Pennington's career, including facilitating a multimillion dollar deal with Sears and selling his wildly successful design book, Ty's Tricks. She sold Chelsea Handler's wildly popular book My Horizontal Life - an unfiltered compilation of her one night stands - booked her as one of the stars of Girls Behaving Badly on Oxygen Network, and launched Chelsea's career as one of the most recognized voices in comedy. She launched Mario Lopez's career as the beloved host of Extra. She sold Coolio's hip-hop cookbook Cooking with Coolio: Five Star Meals at a One Star Price and his show Coolio's Rules to Oxygen Network. She packaged and sold The Six Little McGhees to Oprah's OWN Network.
She has shaped the careers of Mario Lopez, John Salley, Michael Irvin, Brigitte Nielsen, Jose Canseco, Samantha Harris, Chelsea Handler, Chaz Bono, and nearly 200 others whose names audiences know and love today. She has secured major brand deals with HelloFresh, LG, Sears, Dolby, Audible, Regal Cinemas, Rode Microphones, Simple Contacts, Mucinex, Kellogg's, Band-Aid, and Pete's Coffee among many others.
